As we say goodbye to a fantastic 2019, we welcome in 2020 with open arms. This past year has been one of our best yet, we started off with a fresh new menu and new ideas with plenty of functions to look forward to hosting throughout the seasons.

2019 was wedding crazy at The Cock O'Barton, each one has been truly magical and individual - congratulations and thank you to all our 2019 couples who chose us to help them celebrate their special day, right in the heart of the Cheshire countryside! We flourish in taking every couple on a beautiful journey, mastering every detail to its finest to ensure each wedding is as perfect as it can be.

You could say 2019 was extra special, we were so lucky and humbled to have had the opportunity to plan and host not one, but two Cock O'Barton staff weddings - congratulations to Becca and Ian, and Lindsey and Doug! Every celebration and party throughout the past year has been a delight to host and we look forward to more in 2020.

With all this happiness there have been some tears along the way, we said goodbye to our longest standing Chef, Jim. After 13 years of hard work, dedication, amazing food, and silly jokes, we take our baker boy hats off and salute him on his way to a well-deserved early retirement -good luck Jim!

We also lost a gentleman very close to our hearts, Ron Hughes was a well-respected, joyful man and a long standing regular to The Cock O'Barton. He made us laugh, told us an abundance of stories, and was loyal for many years - cheers Ron, you are greatly missed.

Don’t worry, we haven’t forgot about the ‘C’ word - CHRISTMAS! The festivities began in November with a wonderful evening of dancing and drinking whilst being entertained by the one and only, Tom Jones! We will definitely bring back some tribute magic next year too - but who will it be?

The music didn’t stop there, every Friday evening throughout December we had live music from bands including Kojo and The Myers - who made Mad Friday a night to remember. From sprout to finish, we loved hosting all your wonderful Christmas parties and we hope you enjoyed them too.

New Years Eve at The Cock O'Barton consisted of an infamous big CoB bash! There were lots of questionable dance moves, many bottles of fizz were popped, bagpipes were played, platters a plenty and great music courtesy of Break the Record. What a way to bring the new year in!

Of course, a new year means a new Winter menu. It includes loads of new tasty dishes to try including duck ramen and a curry fish pie, obviously paired delightfully with a glass of wine from our extensive wine list - dry January or a dry white wine? We know what we’re choosing!

Thank you everyone for your ongoing support, we appreciate every single one of you, old and new - 2020 is officially here and we are looking forward to what’s to come!
